From the 1st of September 2023, Harlow is excited to welcome the Knife Angel sculpture. The powerful artwork aims to raise awareness about the devastating impact of knife crime and foster a united front against violence within our community.
The artwork will be on display for a month within Playhouse Square.
A range of community activities will also take place during the exhibition. These include:
- 1 September: Opening Ceremony
- 2 September: A story to the Angel
- 6 September: Mental Health awareness day
- 9/10 September: Draw the Angel
- 13 September: Domestic Violence Awareness Day
- 16/17 September – Poem for the Angel
- 20 September: Beverley Brinkley Appeal Day
- 23/24 September: Photograph the Angel
Each day will include planned activities, stall holders and ways to get involved. All events will be taking place in Playhouse Square. The agenda is subject to change.
