Robert is the Heart 4 Harlow Town Chaplain, Chair of the Harlow Chamber of Commerce and the organiser of Harlow Showcase. Discover Harlow raise awareness of Harlow as an attractive place to do business. I am proud to be a Harlow Ambassador and enjoy working closely with them. Fourth Harlow Ambassador Meeting

The Harlow Ambassadors came together at the historic Harlow Study Centre on 23 May for the latest Ambassador Meeting. Ambassadors meet quarterly in some of the town’s most interesting venues to hear about Harlow’s exciting projects, people and potential. The focus was on business in Harlow, as the Ambassadors heard from: Leonie Tipton of the global company Arrow Electronics. Third Harlow Ambassador Meeting

Our Ambassadors met at Harlow Cricket Club on 27 February for the third Harlow Ambassador meeting. Ambassadors meet regularly in one of Harlow’s exciting venues to network and hear first-hand the latest news about the town, which they can share with their contacts. At the meeting Ambassadors heard from: Alan Howick, President of Harlow Cricket Club, who welcomed Ambassadors to the club and gave a brief overview of its history and facilities. Second Harlow Ambassador Meeting

Our 80 Ambassadors joined us at the Harlow Museum and Walled Gardens on Thursday 29 November for the second Harlow Ambassador meeting. Ambassadors meet bi-monthly in some of the town’s most interesting venues to hear about Harlow’s exciting projects, people and potential. At this meeting, the focus was on ‘colour and culture’, as we heard from: Sharon Davies of Harlow Museum, who spoke about her aim of helping Harlow’s school children build their creative skills and the museum’s role in the community. City Nation Place Awards

We have been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2018 City, Nation, Place Awards. Harlow has beaten off competition from over 100 towns, cities, regions and nations across 16 countries to become a finalist for the Place Brand of the Year Award. The panel of international judges, experts in the field of Place Branding put Discover Harlow amongst nine finalists including; Barcelona, Eindhoven, Estonia, city of Salinas California, and Brand Scotland, recognising the value of the brand's strategy, implementation and results. The winner will be announced at the City Nation Place 2018 Conference in London on 8 November.

First Harlow Ambassador Meeting

Over 80 people from local businesses and community groups attended the first Harlow Ambassador Group meeting at Harlow Rugby Club on Thursday, 27 September 2018. Ambassadors will meet bi-monthly to hear about what’s happening in the Harlow area from the people making it happen. The Chair of Harlow Place Board, John Keddie introduced the three brilliant speakers for this event: Alan Price, President of Harlow Rugby Club,  who shared the fascinating story of Harlow Rugby Club, from the early days in the 1950s, floating goal posts down the River Stort to Parndon Mill, to their award-winning facility in Latton Park, which has become a real community hub.
