There was a record turnout of Ambassadors at Harlow Football Club  on 5 March 2020 for the seventh meeting of Harlow Ambassadors. At the meeting Ambassadors heard from: Aideen McCambridge from Anglia Ruskin University (ARU)and Chris White from Wrenbridge, who spoke about Arise Harlow, ARU’s new Business Centre located on Harlow Science Park.  The 27 acre park provides Grade A development opportunities for office, research and development, mid tech and amenity businesses and is a joint venture between Harlow Council, Vinci Construction and Wrenbridge. Sixth Harlow Ambassador meeting

Around 60 Ambassadors met at Harlow Civic Centre on 5 December for the sixth Harlow Ambassador meeting. At the meeting we heard from: Dr John Keddie, Chair of the Harlow Place Board, who spoke about the exciting announcements made about Harlow over recent months, including the new hospital, the Town Centre Development Fund, and the Future High Streets fund. Five-time gold medal-winning Paralympian and Harlow resident Noel Thatcher MBE inspired Harlow Ambassadors at our fifth Ambassador event on 5 September. More than 50 Ambassadors met to hear the Paralympian speaking about his amazing achievements as one of Great Britain’s most successful athletes and how living and growing up in Harlow was instrumental to this success. Ambassadors meet regularly in one of Harlow’s exciting venues to network and hear first-hand the latest news about the town, which they can share with their contacts. We have been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2018 City, Nation, Place Awards. Harlow has beaten off competition from over 100 towns, cities, regions and nations across 16 countries to become a finalist for the Place Brand of the Year Award. The panel of international judges, experts in the field of Place Branding put Discover Harlow amongst nine finalists including; Barcelona, Eindhoven, Estonia, city of Salinas California, and Brand Scotland, recognising the value of the brand's strategy, implementation and results. The winner will be announced at the City Nation Place 2018 Conference in London on 8 November.

First Harlow Ambassador Meeting

Over 80 people from local businesses and community groups attended the first Harlow Ambassador Group meeting at Harlow Rugby Club on Thursday, 27 September 2018. Ambassadors will meet bi-monthly to hear about what’s happening in the Harlow area from the people making it happen.
