Work starts on regeneration of Harlow Bus Station

In April works began for the rebuild of Harlow’s bus station and the transformation of Terminus Street in the town centre. Harlow Council has entered into contract with Morgan Sindall to start demolition works in preparation of the multi-million-pound regeneration of Harlow Bus Station to create a first-class Sustainable Transport Hub and improvements to Terminus Street. Broad Walk transformation to begin

Work is set to begin on the multimillion-pound regeneration of Broad Walk as part of Harlow Council’s priorities to rebuild our town and restore pride in Harlow. Contractors Conamar Building Services have been appointed to carry out the works, which will see the complete transformation of the high street and provide high-quality public spaces. Major development secured for Harlow residents

Harlow Council is buying a large private residential development in the town in a move which will secure more Harlow homes for Harlow people. The council has exchanged contracts with developers Hollybrook to buy the high-profile development next to the Burnt Mill roundabout. The development includes 172 one- and two-bedroom apartments designed and constructed for private rental. The development also includes ground floor commercial space, 150 cycle racks and 142 residents parking spaces - 23 of which have electric vehicle charging points - and communal roof gardens. The accreditation means that Harlow Museum & Walled Gardens operate to professional standards, care for their collections, and make them accessible to visitors. The benchmark is administered by Arts Council England on behalf of the UK Accreditation Partnership. Accreditation opens up exciting funding opportunities, allows museums to host touring exhibitions and gives access to professional advice and support. Harlow’s history refreshed with new signboards installed

New heritage signboards which help tell the story of Harlow before and after it became a new town have been installed across the town. A total of 15 boards have been put in as part of the council’s priority to restore pride in the town by replacing old signage around the town with new.
