The Knife Angel comes to Harlow

From the 1st of September 2023, Harlow is excited to welcome the Knife Angel sculpture. The powerful artwork aims to raise awareness about the devastating impact of knife crime and foster a united front against violence within our community. The artwork will be on display for a month within Playhouse Square. A range of community activities will also take place during the exhibition. Council Housebuilding: Sherards House

Harlow Council has been given the green light on a new council house building project at the former Sherards House site. The scheme would see another 14 council homes being built which include 6 two-bedroom, 5 three-bedroom and 3 four-plus-bedroom homes. At the Development Management Committee on the 16th of August 2023 planning permission was obtained. Occasio House Demolition

In August 2023 works began on demolishing Occasio House, located within Harlow Town Centre near the Playhouse theatre. The demolition signifies the first stage of delivering Harlow's £20m Arts and Cultural Quarter project.
